Students will know the scientific and street names of a number of illicit substances, as well as statistics, effects and societal impact
of these substances.
Students will know various foods and which stage of the Healthy Eating Pyramid they fit into.

Assessment Evidence (Stage 2)


Performance Task Description
Illicit Substances Presentation Students are required to select an illicit substance they already know, or one
from a list provided to research. From the worksheet provided, students must find certain information on their

illicit substance of choice. The students will be required to use internet-bearing devices for the basis of their

research. Students will then be required to convert the researched information into a form that can be presented
to the class in a number of different ways.

Nutrition Diary & Meal Plan Students are required to record their daily intake of food for a week in a diary. After
Assessment Task 2 analysis and further research, students will be then be required to produce a healthy eating meal planner over the
same period.

Introduction to healthy eating pyramid.

Groups put foods into each section.

Students will reflect and comment on their eating habits and food choices
evident in diary.

Week 8 Meal Plan


Students will create a meal plan, based on their reflection from their Nutrition Diary.
Create a week long meal plan.
Make informed decisions based on what students have learned.
Meal Plan can be created on Excel, PowerPoint or Word.
