    J.K. Rowling is the creator of the Harry Potter series, one of the most popular book and film in
    history. Joanne Rowling was born in July 1965. In 2000, Rowling established the Volant Charitable
    Trust, which uses its yearly budget of 5.1 million to fight against poverty and social inequality. The
    fund also gives to organisations that help children, one parent families, and multiple sclerosis
    research. On December 26, 2001, J.K. Rowling married Dr. Neil Murray in Scotland. They have
    two children together, David and Mackenzie. Rowling has one child, Jessica, from her previous
    marriage.
