The summer math work has been assigned to review skills that are necessary for the upcoming
curriculum as well as next years standardized exams. It is mandatory that you know the
following material:
Attached you will find the rules for operations with integers, please study them!
Also attached you will find five math worksheets. They contain task based questions that are in
line with the core curriculum. Please complete all material on the worksheets. These
worksheets will be due the first full week of school. They will be graded!
You will be tested on the summer material in the first month of school.
The grades will be placed on the SIS system and will count towards your first quarter report
card grade in math.
In addition to studying the above material, I am suggesting that you spend a few hours a week
on either of the following websites: www.IXL.com or www.mangahigh.com. These websites
are aligned with the New York State Math Core Curriculum. They are easy to navigate and
provide fun practice in a variety of different math areas.
