Section 1: Install DataProbe

1. Download Dataprobe software

If you are a registered client:

Download the latest DataProbe installer from the link below/Apex Home
page under Documentation link, which is compatible with both 32 bit and
64 bit Windows machine.

If you are a new client:

Download the latest DataProbe installer from the link below:

http://www.fulcrumway.com/forms/dataprobe-download

2. Unzip the file and Execute Setup.exe file with a user that has Admin
Privileges

Note: Before installation, if you have a previous version of DataProbe, uninstall the
DataProbe application and remove the data file from c:\ProgramData folder.

3. Please click Run and follow the instructions on the screen, by default you
can click the NEXT button and proceed to the last step as below:

Section 2: Setup DataProbe

1. Download License file from FulcrumWay Tools
a. Logon to https://apps.fulcrumway.com/monitor/f?p=1001
b. Download license file

c. Take note where the license file is stored. It will be needed during
the Data Probe setup process.

2. To start the DataProbe application, click the Icon in the Desktop.

3. When opening for the first time, it will ask to load the license file.
Continue with the following steps:

a. For loading license file, click on Setup tab in the left corner of
DataProbe login page and select Load License

b. It will ask to select the license file as below. Select the

downloaded license file from step 1.

4. After loading the license file, login to the DataProbe with the login
credentials that you have been provided. On logon it will display
Welcome screen.

Company: <Your company code>

Username: <User name>
Password: <Password>

5. After login, below Home Page will be displayed

6. Setup Controls Environment from FulcrumWay Controls Catalog

a. Go to menu : Setup -> select Manage Environment
b. Go to menu : Setup -> select Refresh Environment

Note: When your organization firewall blocks contact to the

FulcrumWay server, while doing Refresh Environment or
Refresh Objects, you will get the message below, mode will
change to Offline Mode (check left bottom of the window) and
menu options will be disabled.

Menu disabled and mode will be changed to offline.

Please do the Refresh Environment and Refresh Objects outside

the firewall.

7. Download licensed control objects from the FulcrumWay Controls

Catalog
Go to menu: Setup -> select Refresh objects
Based on the selected environment, Data monitor menu and the
snapshot details will be displayed.

NOTE: Please refer to the NOTE under Step 5 when you are
Offline/behind Firewall.

8. Configure ERP database connection for control testing

Go to menu: Actions -> select Configure ERP database

Selected environment will be displayed in the window. Database

details for this environment to be entered.
Database Type : Oracle

User Id : apps

Password : apps user password

Server : host name / IP address

Service : DB service name

Port : DB port number

Note: This has to be done inside the firewall, within your

organizations network.

Section 3: View Reports

1. Execute Save Snapshot option is to store the Objects output in local DB to
view report in DataProbe.
Go to menu: Action -> select Execute Save Snapshot

a. On selecting the Execute Save Snapshot each object script will be

executed and the data will be stored in the local machine.
b. Status of each object will be displayed on the status bar which is
left bottom of the application window during the process.
Note: Execute Save Snapshot has to be done inside firewall within
your organizations network.

2. To view report in DataProbe

Select the Environment, Snapshot with the status Save Complete and
double click on the Object from menu tree

Report will open in the popup window

Report can be viewed in expanded mode

To download the report from DataProbe

Click on the down load icon on top of the report window.

FulcrumWay Analytics
1. You can transfer data to the FulcrumWay server
Go to menu: Action -> select Execute Transfer snapshot

a. On selecting the Execute Transfer Snapshot each object script

will be executed. On completion of all objects the data will be
transferred to the FulcrumWay server.
b. Status of each object will be displayed on the status bar which is
left bottom of the application window during the process.
Note: Execute Transfer snapshot has to be done inside firewall
within your organizations network.

During Execute and Transfer option when offline/behind firewall, below

message will be displayed and snapshot file will be stored in local machine.

2. Snapshot file status will be Execute SQL Completed, Transfer Pending

Note: We can use Transfer selected snapshot option to Transfer and

load the snapshot file into the FulcrumWay server (choose the file not
transferred to FulcrumWay, during the firewall block). This can be done
when you are outside the firewall.

3. To view the Snapshot details

Select the snapshot details to be viewed from list and click on the Show
snapshot details Icon.
