    Assignment: Study of Master plan

    1. Rationale to choose the City for study?


    2. Which class town, whether census town or statutory town (Nagar panchayat,
    Municipal council or Municipal Corporation)
    3. Name of Agency or Authority who prepared it?
    4. Which Plan- Master plan, City Development Plan or other and for which
    year?
    5. Elaborate the steps of preparing Master plan?
    6. How many satellite towns or outgrowth are under Plan?
    7. Which guidelines are followed?
    8. Elaborate the meaning of Indicator. Sector wise indicators used and its
    source of data collection? ( At least three indicator from each sector)
    9. Methodology to analyze the data?
    10. Mention the hierarchy of plans (zonal plan, ward, local and region plan)
    included in master plan?
    11. Define vision, aim and objective of the plan?
    12. Define hierarchy of boundaries under jurisdiction of plan with its area?
    13. Define DPC (District planning Committee)? Its origin, role and functions?
    Mention few examples of districts having it.
    14. What are the economics drivers for the development of the city?
    15.Write your understanding after reviewing master plan in 200 words?
