Dear Ma'am,

I am writing this letter in reference to my admission confirmation for the Master Degree in
Environmental Engineering. I would wish to defer my study at University of the Philippines for 1 st
semester of academic year 2017-2018. During my application for Master Degree, I decided to choose
to start at the 2nd semester as a full time student because I have specific plans which will put me in
steady financial status next year for my studies. Due to some unexpected situation my name was
included for 1st semester applicants for evaluation and because of miscommunication I continued to
processed my University admission slip for the 1st semester of this school year.

I humbly request you to consider my deferral request positively and allow me to commence my studies
at 2nd semester of academic year 2017-2018.
