INTRODUCTORY RITES
INTRODUCTION
Commentator: Good morning, brothers and sisters in Christ.
Today we come together as a community participate to the Holy Eucharist
and to witness the celebration of the Sacrament of Marriage between
Kent and Gloria. Let us offer our prayers for them that God may shower
upon them graces as they begin their life together. Let us all rise to sing
our Entrance Song.
ENTRANCE SONG:
GREETING
Presider: In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
All: Amen.
Presider: The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the
communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all.
All: And with your spirit.
Presider: Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, we are gathered to celebrate the
Holy Eucharist and to witness the Sacrament of Marriage between
Kent and Gloria. As their Christian Family, we remind them that
they are called to a life of Holiness and Fidelity as husband and wife.
Let us rejoice with them and ask Gods blessing for them and their
future children.
Presider: May Almighty God have mercy on us, forgive us our sins, and bring us
to everlasting life.
GLORIA: GLORIA (Floro Bautista)
Antipono:
Gloria iti Dios 'ti kangatoan!
3. Sika a mangikkat
kadagiti basbasol ti lubong, kaasiannakami.
Sika a mangikkat kadagiti basbasol ti lubong,
awatem kad daytoy ar-ararawmi. Sika a situtugaw
iti makannawan ti Ama, kaasiannakami.
The Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone. I will make
him a helpmate. So from the soil the Lord God fashioned all the wild beasts and all
the birds of heaven. These he brought to the man to see what he would call them;
each one was to bear the name the man would give it. The man gave names to all the
cattle, all the birds of heaven and all the wild beasts.
But no helpmate suitable for man was found for him. So the Lord God made
the man fall into a deep sleep. And while he slept, he took one of his ribs and
enclosed it in flesh. The Lord God built the rib he had taken from the man into a
woman, and brought her to the man. The man exclaimed:
This at last is bone from my bones, and flesh from my flesh! This is to be
called woman, for this was taken from man.
This is why a man leaves his father and mother and joins himself to his wife,
and they become one body.
Commentator: The Bride and the Groom please stand for the Rite of Marriage. May
I request the Principal Sponsors to stand.

AFTER OFFERTORY
Commentator: May we request the couple to kneel for the laying of the veil and cord.
Commentator: Veil sponsors, please come forward. The veil is the symbol of Gods
presence. Just like the cloud that overshadows journeyers in times of
weariness in a dessert, so does Gods love comfort us in times of trials. Its
whiteness reflects the purity and simplicity of Gods presence among us.
Commentator: Cord sponsors, please come forward. The cord is the symbol of
Gods faithfulness to his Church. Let this symbol be a sign of your fidelity and
commitment to one another. Just like the way Christ love his Church, so let
the same unconditional love reign in your marriage life.
