Everyone tried to dismiss her, but the woman in todays gospel would not go away.
Her persistence resulted in her daughters cure. Persistence is a virtue of parenting.
We must persist in teaching our children, advocating for them, being models for them
and loving them. Parenting is a lifetime career.

Catholic Schools are communities of faith, knowledge and service. Academic success
and rigorous achievement mark our schools as outstanding institutions. Essential to
the Christian message is the command of Christ to serve others. Our students are at
their best when they exemplify in their actions this command, and they do so daily.
Students, their parents, grandparents and other family members sacrifice to provide a
Catholic education and are grateful for tuition assistance provided through the Faith
and Value Appeal for Education. Please pray that the generosity of our parishioners
will continue to support the formation of our youth in Catholic schools where faith
makes a difference. There will be a second collection today, please be generous. To
donate online, go to www.CatholicCommunity.org/eddonate or call Karen Joyce at
800-869-6525 x 1910.
