Activities 1.Teacher shows some signs to the pupils.


2.Teacher asks the pupils the meaning of the sign and where they
can see them.
3. Teacher encourages pupils to give more examples of other signs.
4. Teacher and pupils talk about the signs.
5. Teacher takes the pupils on a school tour.

6. Pupils write down notices and signs that they see around the
school.
7. Teacher and pupils discuss in class.

2. blend phonemes into recognizable words, read and spell them.

Activities 1.Teacher introduces the phonemes /eI/ for ai and /i:/for ee.
2.Teacher asks the pupils to blend phonemes to form words.
3. Pupils read the form words.
4. Teacher divides the pupils in group.
5. Teacher says the words. A pupils from each group says the word
and segments it.

6. Pupils pick the correct sound cards and form the words on board
below the matching picture.

5. Teacher then read the text and asks the pupils to repeat it.

5. Teacher then asks the pupils to identify the signs and name the
places where the signs can be found.
