Research Projects

I am currently involved with several research projects of Cancer Foundation of India.


This includes studying the efficacy of HPV vaccine to prevent cervical cancer comparing
two with three doses. This is an IARC sponsored project. I am also developing and
testing a community based cervical cancer screening program appropriate for resource
constrained country.

The following is an account of my previous researches as the principal investigator.


o Should a smear be repeated during the first visit at colposcopy clinic?
This research led to a change to the UK NHSCSP guideline for cervical
cancer screening
o The Inadequate Smear: Does it Matter?
o An observational study comparing laser with VersaPoint for endometrial
ablation.
o Daily Fetal Movement Chart, a Reappraisal
