1. INDRODUCTION
consists of some sort of system, where the system consists of several assets
that require maintenance in the process of its use. These assets need to be
divided into various categories, which will facilitate the maintenance of the asset
so that it can be done workmanship clearer terhadapp the asset. For example,
assets that exist in the main engine system. The assets on the main machine can
be either a piston, cilinder liner, cilinder head and so on. Besides the location of
the assets should be taken into account to facilitate the collection and
determining maintenance. The more specific the assets that made the better.
In this task, data collection and asset naming. Naming the assets can be
based on the layout of the system. Besides naming the asset can be determined
from the system and the type of equipment used in the system. The tools used
in the system can also be explained more specific in order to get more accurate
data. The number of assets in one system can also be used as a name for the
asset to determine the amount of a tool used in a system. The more complete
the data collection as well as the naming of the assets, it would be easier to take
action when maintenance.
Here are the data used boats:Ship Data:
Length over all : 145,00 m
Length between P.P : 130,00 m
Breadth moulded : 24,50 m
Draft : 6,00 m
Gross Tonnage : abt 15000 GT
Deadweight : 3350 meter
Service speed on design draft : abt. 22,4 kn
Engine output : 2 x 8400 kW

In this task, the writing of the nomenclature of the system is done with the format:
or or
Dimana :
AA is the code for the system
XX is the code for the number of system
CC is the code for the equipment
DDD is the code for the more spesific code

5. DESCRIPTION
5.1. Assets Coding Anatomy (Task 1)
Asset coding anatomy is different between codes to codes, each codes have
its own meaning regard on the department and the location and the asset
categories also on the asset categories, at task 1 we manage to list all assets in
CMMS Program. For Example :

01 01 or 02 01 or 01 01

ME 01 PI 01 here :
ME is the code of Asset System ( ME 01 means Main Engine 1 and ME
02 means Main Engine 2)
PI is the code of Asset Category
FDX is the code of the more spesific Asset Category
01 is the code for Asset Number
5.1.1. Coding at Main Engine
Main Engine:
Manufacturer : MaK - Caterpillar
Type : 9 M 43
Rated Power : 8400kW
Rated Speed : 500rp,

5
Engine Data : Four stroke, direct injection, 9 cylinder in-line, turbo charged
bore 430mm, stroke 610mm, starboad engine-otation

Turbocharger:
Type : ABB TPL77-A30
Max speed : 18120 rpm
Max temperature :650 Celcius
Example:

Picture 1. Some Examples of Main Engine Assets

For example, there are some assets that exist on this lever. We can see there
are some assets from the main engine as it exists in the table above. As an
example we give the code to the piston as assets katagory is PI, and for the main
engine system, the code that is in use is ME. Writing can be done such as:

01 01 or 02 02 or 01 01
Here:

Both 3 asset recorded as ME. ME shows thats the asset system is Main Engine,
ME 01 for Main Engine 1 and ME 02 for Main Engine 2

6
PI and F FDX, shows that the Asset Category and FDX is more spesific asset
category
01, 02 is the number of asset, number will star from 01 if we change to another
system

Or we can take conclusion about the coding at the asset in Main Engine :

() ( ) ( ) ( )

So, if we make the assets above into a coding so we can make the code into :

Table 4. Some Examples of Main Engine Assets Code

Assets Code
Cylinder Head of Main Engine 1 ME-01-CH-01
Cylinder Liner 1 of Main Engine 1 ME-01-CL-01
