ImplementationOptions
ThefirstprocessinMRPisthecheckingoftheplanningfile.
Theplanningrunandthescopeoftheplanningrun(whichmaterialsareplannedinwhichplanningrun)arecontrolledbytheplanningfile.
Theplanningfilecontainsalistofallmaterialsrelevanttotheplanningrun.AssoonasamaterialmasterrecordiscreatedwithMRPdataand
avalidMRPtype,thismaterialisthenautomaticallyincludedintheplanningfile.

Prerequisites
TheplanningfilehasbeensetupandincludesallmaterialsrelevanttoMRP.

ProcessFlow
1. Thesystemcheckswhetherthematerialtobeplannedisincludedintheplanningfile,thatiswhetherthematerialnumberisinthe
planningfile andwhethertheNETCHorNETPLindicatorhasbeensetfor netchangeplanningornetchangeplanningintheplanning
horizon (seealsoPlanningRunTypesandScopeofPlanning).
2. Thesystemreadsthelowlevelcode.Thelowlevelcodedefinesthesequenceinwhichthematerialsaretobeplanned.Thesystem
plansmaterialswiththelowlevelcode000firstandthenthosewith001,andsoon.(SeealsoCalculatingLowLevelCodes).

4. Thesystemcheckswhetherprocurementproposalsexistingsincethelastplanningrunforamaterialaretobedeletedandrecreated.
ThesystemdoesthisifanXhasbeenenteredinthe ResetOrderProposals column(seealsoPlanningMode).
5. ThesystemreadstheMRPdateinadditiontotheplanningfileentryiftimephasedplanningorMRPcombinedwithtimephasedplanning
isused.TheMRPdateiscopiedfromtheplanningcalendaranddetermineswhenplanningistobecarriedoutforthematerial.
6. Thesystemcheckswhetherthematerialisamasterscheduleitem.ThesystemdoesthisifanXhasbeenenteredinthe MPSItem
columnoftheplanningfile.ThisindicatorissetifthematerialhasanMRPtypeformasterproductionscheduling.
