JOB DESCRIPTION
1.1 Responsible for leading, organizing and controlling the work activities of the
team (e.g. Pre-editor, Proofreader, Typesetter, SGML Checker, QA Staff) in
accordance with the Company's productivity and accuracy standards and
schedules.
2.1 Monitors directly the work activities as well as the performance of the team
and ensures that Company's productivity and accuracy standards and
schedules are met.
2.2 Trains team members on the procedures and instructions on the assigned
projects or jobs.
2.3 Distributes job assignments to team members according to schedule and job
priorities.
2.4 Attends project review.
2.5 Reviews, prepares, maintains and regularly updates the in-house project
Specifications.
2.6 Interacts with Project Officer and/or Shift Supervisor for any changes in
instructions and relays the same to personnel concerned.
2.7 Entertains questions and resolves problems encountered on the assigned
project. (In case of unresolved queries, reports and discusses it with the Shift
Supervisor/Project Officer).
2.8 Recommends team members for upgrading/recognition and disciplinary
actions based on approved Company policies and procedures.
2.9 Conducts meetings with the team members (if necessary).
2.10 Controls and monitors the flow of source documents in the section.
2.11 Accomplishes turnover report indicating the status, accomplishments, new
instructions for use of all concerned.
2.12 Coordinates with other sections when needed.
2.13 Ensure that the company’s quality system are implemented within the
Division.
2.14 Recommends cost effective changes in procedures based on evaluation
during implementation.
2.15 Prepares reports required of the position.
2.16 Ensures cleanliness and orderliness in the work area.
2.17 Performs other duties as may be assigned.
2.18 Performs other functions common to supervisorial position.
