Isaiah describes a vision he has of God: I
saw the Lord sitting upon a throne, with His
glory filling the temple. Around him were
two angels, each with six wings. Two wings
covered their faces, two wings covered
their feet, and with two wings they flew.1

Isaiah was an important
prophet of God to the people
of the nation of Judah during
the reign of four of Judahs
kings: Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz,
and Hezekiah during the 8th
and 7th centuries BCE.3
God asked Isaiah to tell the
people of Judah to turn away
from worshipping idols and
to return to living their lives
the way He wanted them to;
to love and honor God and
show love and mercy. Isaiahs
prophecies are found in the
Bible in the book of Isaiah.

also known as BC (Before Christ).
Among the many prophecies God
gave through Isaiah, there were
several important prophecies about
Jesus that were given hundreds of
years before He was born. One of
the prophecies was about His birth.
Behold, a young woman will have a baby
boy that would not be the son of a man,
but will be Gods child. He will be called
Emmanuel, which means God with us.

One of the most amazing prophecies that
Isaiah gave about Jesus is recorded in Isaiah 53.

He was wounded and bruised for our sins,

and with His wounds we are healed
(Isaiah 53:5, paraphrased).

Isaiah also described a

beautiful vision of what life
will be like in the future when
Jesus rules the world. The
wolf will lie with the lamb,
and a leopard with a kid
goat, and a calf and a lion
will be together, with a little
child leading them
(Isaiah 11:6, paraphrased).
