Art Supplies BRING DAILY!:

Sketchbook (8 x 11 or similar size, 50 pages minimum, spiral or
hardbound.)
#2 pencils
Eraser *preferably white vinyl
OPTIONAL/ADDITIONAL REQUESTS TO BE SHARED: Box of tissues, wet wipes/cleaning
wipes, hand soap, hand lotion.
ALL other art making tools and supplies will be provided in the classroom as needed!

6th Grade Art (Grading)

Grades will be based on roughly 3-4 in-depth class projects (each worth 100 points) as well as
other summative assessments which may consist of sketches, quizzes, worksheets, and written
art critiques or reflections.

Example of grades from one quarter:

3 projects X 100 pts = 300 pts possible
2 quizzes X 50 = 100 pts possible
2 written reflections X 25 = 50 pts possible
1 observational drawing = 25 pts possible
1 written critique= 25 pts possible
6-9 formatives (practice)= 0 points (score may be given, but score will not impact
+ the students final grade).
500 total points possible
Points earned by student (X) : X x 100 = GRADE PERCENTAGE %
