My Unforgettable Experience in ZEN 115

Some subjects come and go without having any impact whatsoever on students. Rarely,

though, a subject will have a monumental impact on a student, because of its content and lessons.

Speech Communication is one of the latter, with its quirky activities and fun lessons, a subject

that will be hard to forget.

One of the required activities is the delivery of an impromptu speech. For the novice

speaker, it is a nightmare coming up a speech in less than a minute, so naturally, I didnt do well.

However, although I didnt do well, I did have fun doing it in front of newfound friends. It

helped boost my confidence and interpersonal connections. It wasnt in the activity itself that I

learned a lesson, it was after, when I realized what I should have done and shouldnt have done.

At first I thought Speech Communication would be a heavily burdensome subject, but

gladly, as the semester progressed, Im glad that I was wrong in that assessment. With a fun

professor, active classmates, and purposeful lessons, Speech Communication is surely a subject

that I wouldnt forget.
