Not a substitute for reading the handbook!

Infraction Consequence
Show is less than 5 minutes or greater than 10 Rating lowered by one level
minutes in length
Band is not off the field after a total of 15 Rating lowered by one level
minutes (including set up and tear down time)
Band director does not cede control of the Rating lowered by one level
band to a Drum Major or Field Conductor for
the performance
Band director(s) and/or staff are in the Rating lowered by one level
performance area after the start of the
performance
Use of prerecorded solo or ensemble playing Rating lowered by one level
during performance
Use of fireworks or pyrotechnics of any kind Rating lowered by one level

On field warm-up exceeds 1 minute in length Rating lowered by one level

Band is not off the field 2 minutes past their Rating lowered by one level
performance
Band DNA Disqualification from Concert MPA
May be waved by petitioning the
Executive Director

Music changes are not received by 10 days Disqualification
prior to the first day of the MPA event
Music performed is graded lower than Disqualification
required for bands classification
Measures are not numbered in the scores Disqualification
given to adjudicators
Photocopies of the score are used without Disqualification
proper authorization
(see handbook pg. 7)
Performing selections more than once within Disqualification
the minimum time span
Middle Schools: Within 2 years
High Schools: Within 3 years
On stage warm-up exceeds 1 minute in length Rating lowered by one level OR
Disqualification at the discretion of the
District Officer running the event
Use of prerecorded solo or ensemble playing Disqualification
during performance
More students are on stage than are registered Disqualification
for the event
Band exceeds the 30 minute time limit on Rating lowered by one level OR
