daily Mass on Fridays will be held at 8:15
a.m. in the church. There will no longer be
a 7:00 a.m. Mass in the chapel on Fridays.
The Monday through Thursday schedule

RECYCLING PROGRAM
The Youth Group and I would like to thank
everyone who is donating their aluminum
and plastic at our recycling center. We were
able to help send 12 teens to Steubenville
San Diego this summer. Because of your sup-
port with this fundraiser, we are able to pro-
vide activities and resources for our youth at
no dollar cost to you. A big THANK YOU to
Gary Keller who made this possible and con-
tinues to support our youth by transporting
recyclables to the recycle center.

EXTENDED DAY CARE DIRECTOR

available for an Extended Day Care (EDC) Di-
rector. The Extended Care Director is responsi-
ble for coordinating an appropriately safe, car-
ing and enriching environment for the program
which is supportive of the schools mission and
philosophy. The Extended Care Director pre-
pares activities, assists with the needs of stu-
dents, and supports the teachers from Grades
2-8 when needed. Duties are not limited to EDC.
Hours are M-F 12 noon-4 p.m.

Info Fair/Back to School Night

On Wednesday, August 30, 2017 from 5:30-8:00 pm St. Columba will host their Info Fair / Back to
School Night. For your convenience, The Cheezy Amigo Food Truck will be set up next to the hall by
5:00pm. It is important that at least one parent attend this informative event. In the hall from 5:30-
7:30 there will be booths set up with displays and information about the activities, fundraisers, and
different volunteer opportunities available for parents. We will gather in the hall at 6:00pm for a Wel-
coming from Fr. Ed , Ms. Navarro, and PTG. Immediately following will be three sessions; 6:30-6:55
7:00-7:25 7:30-7:55. These sessions are scheduled to give parents the opportunity to visit other
teachers and the Info booths. We look forwards to seeing you there!

Fall Festival
St. Columbas Annual Octoberfest/Fall Festival is scheduled from October 13-15th. This is one of our
most important fundraisers of the year. All profit goes back into the school. In order to make this
years Fall Festival successful we need the support from our entire school community. There are
many ways families can help make this event even more successful than last year. Ms. Marylou
Scott is our Volunteer Coordinator. She will be managing the volunteer sign-ups for this years fund-
raisers. Please consider donating at least 4 hours of your time to this event. Please contact Ms.
