Color Wheel
Successful Construction of Floral Arrangements
Floral Identification
Interior Design
Event Sales and Arrangements

Floral Program Activities: (All students will be required to participate in the


following events:
San Jacinto County Fair and Rodeo Educational Barn Exhibit
Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Horticulture Competition
Adopt-a-Floral Design Student (more information to follow)
Texas State Floral Association (TSFA) Certifications (Level One or Two)
Classroom Expectations:
Come to class on time.
Respect self, others, and property.
No food or drink allowed.
No cell phones or other personal electronics allowed.
Bring supplies necessary for class.

Materials Necessary:
Composition notebook (this will be kept in class)
Notebook (or section) specifically dedicated to Floral Design for all
worksheets, handouts, etc. given during class time
Pen and/or pencil
Other project materials as notified in class

Grading System: (6 weeks= 12 Daily grades & 3 Major grades)


Tests, Projects: 70%
Daily Grades, Quizzes, etc.: 30%
Late work:
Ten points on major grade assignments will be deducted per class
meeting.
After 3 days the assignment is given a 0.
Daily assignments are expected to be turned in the day they are assigned
unless the teacher allows the students to finish it for homework. Then it is
expected to be turned in the next class day.
Make-up Work:
Make-up assignments or test shall be made available to students after any
absence, BUT the student is responsible for asking the teacher for the work!!!
Students shall have the same number of days to complete make-up work as
they were absent from the class. If not completed in the allotted time, the
work falls under the guidelines of late work.
