Im glad to have the chance to recommend my friend, Maria, for the vacant job of assistant chef that
your company has.

I have known Maria for x years and I have managed to know her very well. As a friend of hers, I can
say that her main quality is the spirit of sacrifice. If you need it, she would forget about her personal
confort and do anything in her power to help you. She has a great sense of humour and is a good
person to spend time with, but she doesnt exaggerate with her jokes. She know when its time to
take things more seriously.

As we have worked together at the same gymnazial school, I know she is a very hard worker and tries
her best in everything that she is involved in. Ever since I met her she was one of the people who
were the last to leave school, sometimes way past classes had finished. She is a perfectionist in
everything that she does. She always wants to put things in their place. This is a good thing, but it
may prove somehow confusing for her colleagues, as she tends to impose the same strictness in what
they do.

I admire the courage she has shown in using and understanding the new media technology. Ever since
2008-2009, when we, the rest of the educational collective where she was also working, wouldnt
even imagine it, she was already an experienced Facebook user. She was keeping up with her much
younger students. In such an environment you have to be very daring and to have a powerful wish to
gain aptitudes that society considers to be only for the younger generations.

She is an empathetic person both as a friend and as a coworker. She is very respectful and knows how
to help people in need even before they ask her.

She has a very good sense of security. She has to be sure that everything is in its place before she
takes one step. Although she is an optimist, sometimes she tends to worry to much about problems
that are not as serious as she sees them, but this may be a good thing, because prudence could make
you avoid unpleasant situations.

Another one of Marias qualities is her consistency. If she gives her word that she will do something,
she will do it. If she starts doing something, she will finish her task, no matter how hard it would
seem.

She is very modest and always says that she is not a very good cook, but my opinion, as an impartial
observer, is that she is talented. The food she cooked whenever it was one of her family members
birthday, on Christmas, New Years Eve, Easter or other special occasions, was both very tasty and
very beautiful, as she knows how to make special arrangements.

I highly recommend Maria for the job you are offering and I am certain that you will be very satisfied
with her work.
