QUALIFICATIONS
1. The candidate must be 18 to 25 years of age
2. The candidate must be 54 and above in height
3. The candidate must be a bonafide resident of the Municipality of Pigcawayan for at least
six months prior to the pageant night
4. The candidate must have a good moral character

GENERAL GUIDELINES
Failure to follow the guidelines set by the committee will result to the demerit of the
points gained by the candidates
Design of the attire/costume to be worn during the completion should be submitted three
days before the contest proper to the pageant committee for screening and approval.
The actual attire/costume will be treated as confidential.
Once the design is approved, it must be worn during the pageant and no alteration,
changes, or revision is permitted
Non-compliance would mean no rating for the particular area of competition and a
demerit of the point gained by the candidates and designer

GUIDELINES FOR THE EXPOSURES/ATTIRE/PORTION

A. SPECIAL AWARDS
The special awards provided by the sponsors will be given the sponsor

B. MINOR AWARDS/PORTIONS

Talent
The candidate must solely perform a talent which must not exceed 5 minutes and
must not be less than 3 minutes
Hazardous props and dangerous stunts is not permitted
Production Number
The attire/costume to be worn during the completion is provided by the committee
Additional props are not allowed
Official Uniform
Attire/costume to be worn during the completion is provided by the committee
Additional props are not allowed

Swimsuit/One-piece
Attire/costume to be worn during the completion is provided by the committee
Additional props are not allowed

Creative Haute Couture (For the Designers)

 Designers must be a bonafide resident of the Municipality of Pigcawayan
The creation must be made of genuine bamboo parts (leaves, trunks, twigs, roots,
etc.)
A cloth can only be used as a base of the couture and must not be seen as part of
the external output
The bamboo material used must be in its original color (No panting and dying to
be done)
Beads and other accessories must also be made of bamboo
Headdress must not exceed 2 feet from the head. Exceeding part will be cut off.
The design must be durable and comfortable in consideration to the part of the
candidates
Neatness and tidiness of the output is a must
Design of the attire/costume to be worn during the completion

Evening Gown
The design must be a long gown
The color of the gown is under the discretion of the candidates and designers
The gown can be accessorized with the material of the designers choice
Accessories are allowed

Interview
The candidate will be given different questions coming from the committee
They must finish their answer within 120 seconds

C. MAJOR AWARDS

Mutya ng Pigcawayan 2017

The candidate who gained the highest point average will be crowned as Mutya ng
Pigcawayan 2017

First Runner-up
The candidate who gained the highest point average will be crowned as Mutya ng
Pigcawayan 2017

Second Runner-up
The candidate who gained the thirdhighest point average will be announced as the
Second Runner-up

Third Runner-up
The candidate who gained the second lowest point average will be announced as
the Third Runner-up

Fourth Runner-up
The candidate who gained the lowest point average will be announced as the
Fourth Runner-up
