Lesson Plan Fifth Class Teen 2


Unit 6: Delicious!
Teacher: Orlando Guerrero
Hours: 2:45
Goals: Students will talk about food; describe their favorite foods and restaurants using adjectives.
Objective: Ask for quantities in your meals
Announce: overdrive service
Remember to students: Five rules 1. Respect your partner and teacher

3. Obey orders when they are important for your education.
4. Follow directions and rules for each game or activity.
5. Keep the classroom neat and tidy.

Warm up: students will create questions to elaborate a survey about food tastes and then teacher will show
some examples of questions, then they will ask teachers (in groups of three) And then they will report what
teachers answered in the questionnaire. They will ask the teachers to give them some foods pictures.
Feedback: Teacher will observe them and check their sentences and performances. (20 min)

Transition: Teacher will show to students some pictures about restaurants in the book page 67 and then he
will ask some information questions about the adjectives that are used in the pictures. (5min)

Activity 1: Students will make groups of two according with their numbers, second they will complete
exercises 2 and 3, then teacher will tell them that they will create sentences using the new vocabulary that
they learned from the unit. Finally, they will practice the grammar of present continuous and simple present
on their conversations about food. Feedback: Ill observe their performances and collect their papers. (20min).

Transition: Teacher will say that they are going to read about Nicks birthday, then teacher will ask what they
observe in that picture on page 68. (10min)

Activity 2: Students will complete exercises 2 and 3 about what people is doing in the restaurant and what
information they can elicit from their food tastes. Finally, they will practice a conversation about ordering in a
restaurant. Feedback: Teacher will observe them and check their answers. (20min).

Transition: Teacher will say they are going to create their own unique sandwich in groups of three. (10min)

Activity 3: They will read aloud their recipes about their sandwiches and then the others will ask questions
about the quantities and answer the questions in exercises 2, 4 and 6.

Transition: Teacher will discuss with students some questions about adjectives for food with a video about
food around the world. (10min).

Wrap up Activity 4: students will play a game about fruits and vegetables, then one leader who is mimicking
or describing from the group of four will answer the questions from the others about fruit or vegetables.
Finally, they will write their answers on piece of paper.
Homework: students will bring a picture of their favorite food and the ingredients that they will need to
prepare it.
Materials: book, pictures, sheets of paper, posters, markers, tape recorder.

Exam activity: Students will learn new vocabulary about outdoor activities Feedback: I will check making yes
or not questions in present continuous tense. (20min).

Extra activity:
they will organize information questions to make a conversation.
-students will make questionnaire whether appear questions about favorites and yes or not questions about what
teenagers like and dislike outdoor activities. Feedback: On the whiteboard, they will correct doing a
presentation of their questions.
