My name is Mduduzi Trevor Mkhabela, I was born in
Mpumalanga at Rob Ferreira Hospital on the 28th of April 1999.
My parents names are Annah Khumalo & Benedict Mkhabela, I
grew up at a rural area in Mpumalanga known as Mgobodi
whereby my grandmother raised me because by that time my
parents were working at Gauteng Province and they could not
look after me.

I attended my elementary school at a school known as Sogasa

Primary School whereby I attended my 1st grade in 2005 and
went on to attend my 7th grade in 2012, that was when my father
decided that I must go to boarding school because my
grandmother was getting old and she had to go to the Old Aged
Home.. so in 2013 I started school at a Boarding School known
as Cefups Academy whereby I attended my 8th and 9th grade in
2013 but due to the insufficient funds I had to drop out and go
back to a public school the following year (2014).

In 2014 I then went on to do my 10th grade at a school known as

Sikhwahlane Secondary School whereby I also did my 11th and
also my 12th grade in 2016.. Throughout everything I have been
through, the struggles, the sacrifices, life has taught me to take
education seriously because without education youre nothing
these days.

Currently I am a first year student at the TSHWANE
UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY doing my degree in
Education (Further Education & Training) whereby it is a four-
year course. My major subjects are Mathematics & Physical
Sciences and Biology because I love science and one day I wish
to make in someones life.

Well, being a teacher is one of the most challenging careers in
the world and also one of the best experiences ever. I love
helping people and also making a change in peoples lives. My
high school teacher Mr J.J Pillay always said that one day I will
make a good teacher because I have always had that passion
even if in class we will be doing corrections I will be the one
mentoring them and checking if everything is going in order and
always helping them were they are struggling or do not
understand.

During the Teaching Practice I had fun because even if I was

observing most learners looked up to me and some came to me
to ask questions and sometimes I would take over the class when
the teacher is not in and we would continue even the Principal
said it that one day I will be a great professional teacher.

This other day we were attending the Biology (Practicals) class,
me and my group members we were getting busy recording the
results of the experiments, I love being a teacher, a mentor, a
role model, a leader etc let us just say I am never wrong.

My wish is to further my studies and get my PhD so that I can

end up being a professor at a certain institution in future.

Me & My Group decided to go the local primary school here in
Pretoria to go help clean the yard as part of our community
project, and here are the pictures below:

These are my fellow group members of which I was involved
with during the entire community project, they like family to me
because ever since I arrived here at varsity they have always
been there for me everything we do we do it together and what
makes so happy is that we even help each other academically if
one of us is struggling.

In future I want the be the best person I can ever be, I have to
improve my skills in everything that I do and also in everything
that I wish to become, I can never give up my dreams because
deep down I know where I want to see myself in ten years time
and also doing what and also driving which car.!
