The Defence Ministry has procured a copy of the tape and has instituted a probe , as the websites candid camera alleged
the involvement of senior defence personnel.

Soon after the three-hour-long Cabinet meeting , Mr George Fernandes as Defence Minister convened a meeting with the
Chiefs of the three services.

Only the Naval Chief, Admiral Sushil Kumar , attended it. The Air Force and Army chiefs could not attend the meeting
as they were not in town. The Two services were represented by Air Marshal Vinod Patney and Lieut-Gen Vijay Oberoi ,
respectively.

Mr George Fernandes and senior defence officials discussed the implications of the Exposure by the Website , which
alleged the involvement of defence personnel in the arms deals. The meeting discussed the fall-out of the exposure and
the politican-middlemen-defence personnel nexus alleged by the website.

Earlier, the Internet site Tehelka.com brought out video clippings which, it claimed depicted widespread corruption in the
ruling alliance. The clippings show the presidents of two major parties in the coalition as accepting gratification from the
representatives of a company wanting to sell defence equipment to India. Besides, the clippings of the Internet site also
cast a shadow on the high ranking officials of the Indian Army and the Ministry of Defence.

A Major-General in the Army , in charge of Weapons and Equipment has been video-taped , while allegedly accepting
Rs 1 lakh for what he said would be his contribution for ensuring that the company was among the companies shortlisted
for the supply of equipment. However, the Major-General is shown clarifying that the final decision would be taken by
the Defence ministry and the evaluation committee , of which he is a member.

What was Stated ..by the Tapes..?

In the video clippings the tehelka.com also shows National Treasurer of the Samata Party R.K. Jain , who himself
reportedly is a representative of a company involved in supplying defence equipment, claiming that some of the senior
ministers in the NDA alliance could be approached and were ready to do `any work for a price.

What Tehelka.com ..Claimed..Top NDA Politicians involved.. ?

Tehelka.com claims that it put in almost eight months of work in investigating the people , involved in this operation
which was code-named by it as Operation West End : A Story of how the Suitcase People are compromising Indian
Defence.

The Tehelka.com has allegedly videotaped the BJP President , Mr Bangaru Laxman and Samata Partys President Ms
Jaya Jaitley as accepting gratification and giving assurance of helping the company in selling the defence equipment.

As per the Tehelka.com site, Mr Bangaru Laxman took Rs 1 Lakh token bribe to facilitate West Ends prospects. In a
revealing meeting, he waited expectantly for another US $ 30,000 Dollars ( Rs 25,00,000 ) which never came, because
we never had them, says Tehelka.com.

The Then Prime Minister A.B Vajpayees Name prominently appears & is repeated spoken in Tehelka Scam Tapes ..?

Prime Minister A.B Vajpayee name repeatedly appears in Tehelka scam Tapes, as one of beneficiaries amongst Top NDA
Politicians ( along with Union Defence Minister George Fernandes ). Also remember, BJP President Bangaru Laxman
was A.B Vajpayee own man.

Mr Bangaru Laxman , who appears in the Tehelka Tapes stated said had referred to Mr Mishras ( Principal Secretary
Brijesh Mishra without taking his full name ) being key person in the Prime Ministers Office (PMO), Bureaucracy
and Party.

The Tehelka.com Spokesman said it would not be a hyperbole to say that such terribly explosive evidence had never
come before against the Indian Government in the history of independent India.

Doubt you will find the original tapes online..!!

If you are going to search to date , I doubt you will find the original tapes online in any YouTube Videos except , some
thoroughly edited Versions, or some Edited News Clips , since all would have been removed by now.

For this we need to thanks Congress President Sonia Gandhi, who ensured that these Tehelka.com Video Tapes were
removed from YouTube, as she owed a lot to former Indian Prime Minister A.B Vajpayee , who fully protected her and
her family, so generously. It is believed that Sonia Gandhi used her influence in Obama Administration, to put pressure
on Internet Companies like Google , Yahoo , Facebook to remove these Controversial WebPages & Videos.

herself.

You will also find names of two prominent and controversial men associated with A.B Vajpayee NDA Administration
namely N.K Singh & Ranjan Bhattacharya in Neera Radia Tapes. Their names are also associated with 2G Spectrum
Scam, as they are Lobbyists for Prominent Business Houses.

Together along with Principal Secretary to the Prime Ministers Office ( PMO ) & National security Advisor ( NSA )
- Brijesh Mishra , they were involved in some high profile scams , which were later hushed up by A.B Vajpayee
Administration ( also UPA ).

Tehelka Tapes - Top Army Officials involved

According to Tehelka.com , tragically the Army too covered itself in disgrace as a slew of Army generals were caught
grubbing for payoffs. Among those nailed are Lieut-Gen Manjit Singh Ahluwalia , Director-General, Ordnance Supply;
Major-General P.S.K. Choudhary of Weapon and Equipment; and Maj Gen Murgai, Director , Quality Assurance , who
has now retired from Army.

As per the Tehelka.com Report, other senior Army officers who took Bribes include Brig Iqbal Singh , Prospective
Procurement Officer , through whom all import purchases pass. Then Brigadior Anil Sehgal , Deputy Director in the
DGOS , when first contacted. And then there was Additional Secretary L.M. Mehta , IAS, the number two bureaucrat
in the Union Defence Ministry.
