It happens after the tragic death of the little daughter of a doll maker and his wife, Twenty years
decide to open their home to shelter a nun and several girls from an orphanage that has closed its
doors, "closed." Soon one of the creations of the manufacturer puts his eyes on the girls and each
of them becomes the target of Anabelle, the possessed doll that triggers a storm of terror in the
house.

The film has received praise from critics saying "It will be very difficult to overcome as the scariest
movie of the year." On the other hand, in the Rotten Tomatoes site the film has a 68% approval.
IMDB users have given the film a 7.2 concluding with mostly favorable reviews.

In October of 2015, New Line Cinema announced that a sequel to the film Annabelle was in
progress, in which Gary Dauberman would repeat as scriptwriter and in March of 2016 it was
known that this film produced by James Wan would have as director to David Sandberg and that
its date of release in the United States would be the 17 of May of 2017 The filming began 30 of
June of 2016 and it was announced that the protagonists would be Anthony LaPlaglia, Miranda
Otto and Stephanie Sigman
