1.1 Introduction
This Tellabs 8000 Network Manager Release Notes document describes the changes that have
been made to Tellabs 8000 network manager system release 17A service pack 4.4.
R17A-SP4.4 is an installation patch and it must be installed on top of Tellabs 8000 network
manager R17A-SP4 (including any previously installed fastlanes of R17A-SP4).
1.2 Installation
Insert the Tellabs 8000 network manager R17A-SP4.4 installation media into the drive. Launch
SETUP.EXE from the \NMS\SP4.4 directory. R17A-SP4.4 must be updated to the following
Tellabs 8000 network manager computers.

Fixed Bugs
In 8100 Node Manager, when opening the Interface Parameters dialog for the STM
interfaces which have SFP plugged in from the satellite workstation, the Interface
Parameters dialog (GMUI.exe) crashes during the parameter reading. (CR ID t8000149809)
Fixed Bugs
The Circuit Loop Test window erroneously shows the CTE2-S G.703 NTU as a test
resource and a loop when the framing of the DTE interface is set to on for the MUAP usage
in the PDH 1/0 circuits. (CR ID t8000236237)
