the facility operations. New campus wide infrastructure support must be in place before any of
the new facilities can be opened and in some cases before construction can begin.
Fourteen key projects form the Campus-Facilities Support and Infrastructure scope.
1. New signalized Woodrow Wilson Main Campus entrance;
2. New signalized Lakeland Drive Campus entrances and new north-south roadway
between Woodrow Wilson & Lakeland;
3. New signalized North State Street Campus addition and reconfiguration of existing;
4. New signalized Woodrow Wilson-Stadium access road;
5. New internal campus loop roadway;
6. New internal energy, utility and communication supply loop to follow campus loop
roadway;
7. Storm water management improvements and campus beautification enhancements
incorporated into roadway improvement implementation;
8. New Campus Facilities Management-Public Safety-Communications facility;
9. New facilities fabrication and repair shops;
10. New 1,000 car parking garage C;
11. New 1,500 car parking garage D;
12. Expansion of parking garage A;
13. Expansion of parking garage B;
14. New 400 car surface parking at existing Laundry facility.
These projects consist of roadway improvements, parking structures, energy and communication
distribution, underground utility enhancements and support facilities to house campus security,
property management and other departments that provide services to the campus. The
implementation of the infrastructure projects is directly related to the deployment of the facilities
associated with the three primary mission groups. In order for a new facility to become
operational, some portion of the infrastructure must be in place to support the operation. There
are several infrastructure projects that must be completed before any of the new primary mission
group facilities can go online.
