I am TB Maheya from Limpopo.
This is my first year in teaching at Tshwane University of Technology.
I am doing Fet in Education.
I am an outspoken person.
I am very humbled and love working with people.
Helping a community it what I am good at.

Reasons why I chose teaching

I have chosen teaching as my career through passion and love I have 4 it. I have noticed that
many kids needs motherly and proffessional attention. Changing lives and sharing
knowledge to the kids it is my firt priority . I want to share my expirience and build a better
future leaders in our country. Being a teacher it is not just career that you can choose for a
professional gain only, it goes with love for people and passion so that you can be able to
encourage, motivate and build lifes for the best. I also chose it for my self to have a better

Teaching practice expirience

During my teaching practice, I have learned a lot. Love, passion, respect, everything good
that can make a good impact in life it is there. Teaching and learning take place in oder to
transfer knowledge in certain subjects. I have learned team work with other colleagues. We
shared ideas, laughter, love and build each other for the best. I have developed a good
friendship with learners where by they will come to for advices and how to approach their
academics. It was a quite challenging moment as not everyone would agree with your
opinions and ideas. Especially learners with no respect. I loved the expirience as it taught me
a lot I was not aware of.The passion is what drives me to push more in my career.

Working together as a team at work A friendship with learners

Roles I played in the community as a future leader(teacher) also as a class
represetative.
This moment of helping orphans was a very touching one. As an orphan I know how hard it
is to have no parents. It is hard as u would have been in need of motherly love. Helping
them is a previlage. As we cooked, clean, play and share our love with. We donated food,
clothes and toys for them to play.

Conclusion

I am a very humbled and passionate person. Working with people it is my motive. I have
learned a lot through helping orphans in the community. Volunteering is the best way to
help and give yourself to the community. I have chosen the career of teaching because I love
it, I need to change lifes with the knowledge I am altering during my course. I need to share
and build better leaders of the country as I am a leader in my class. Helping kids on the
streets to have a better future will be my biggest achievement and I pat my back for that.
