solutions, automotive system engineering and the
content based leadership style which I enjoy every day.

a home maker and two childrens pursuing studies at
school. My hobbies include pet animals, agriculture,

A-3: Government of India aims to make automobiles
manufacturing the main driver of Make in India
initiative, as it expects passenger vehicles market to
triple to 9.4 million units by 2026, as highlighted in
the Auto Mission Plan ( called AMP ) 2016-26. Indian
government plans to promote eco-friendly cars in the
country i.e. CNG based vehicle, hybrid vehicle, and
electric vehicle and also made mandatory of 5 per
cent ethanol blending in petrol. Also the government
has formulated a scheme for Faster Adoption and
Manufacturing of Electric and Hybrid Vehicles in India
(called FAME), under the National Electric Mobility
Mission 2020 to encourage the progressive induction
vehicles in the country. In what can be seen as
perhaps India's boldest move to curb air pollution, the
government has decided to advance the standard for
cleaner cars and leapfrog to Bharat Stage-VI emission
(emission level similar to Euro VI) norms countrywide
by April 2020. This step shows perhaps the strong
initiative of India towards the vehicle emission
reduction still ahead of the majority of the developed
nations in the world. Last but not least is the safety
related, no one could have imagined that this country
will bring the introduction of Antilock Braking System
(called ABS) mandatory for two wheelers of engine
capacity 125 cc and above so soon.
A-4: India predominantly driven with entry level cars
and bikes now (like 800 cc cars, commuter bikes of
around 100cc) and expected to have a shift to mid
segment and premium segment cars and bikes towards

A-5: Challenge seen in front of us gives an immense
opportunity to do more than what we do today.
However, it calls for a shift in mindset from
manufacturing thinking to the technology driven and
content based leadership style. It is key that we move
from the component supplier to the system solution
provider in this arena. One of the biggest strength of

forward his area of concern or provide his feedback

on 20th April, 2016. The inauguration ceremony
was held at Board Room, MMSL - Gurgaon. Mrs.

mother company - Minda Corpration Limited. The
Foundation was incorporated under Section 8 of
Companies Act and is the CSR wing for the Group
Companies to undertake CSR activities. The main

The matches commenced from February 27th 2016.

The last few editions of the tournament had teams
from top corporate houses like Adobe, Wipro,
Oracle, Sopra Group, Genpact, NIIT Technologies,
Headstrong, CPA Global, QA Infotech, NEWGEN,
SDG, SVAM, Impetus, Tribal Fusion, and Infogain.
Matches were played in three shifts morning,
afternoon, evening/night respectively.

During the Final Tournament, Wipro won the toss and

the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs. Mr. Pawan Yadav &

Mr. Kapil Bhati from Spark Minda Team took 3 wickets
each. In response to this, Spark Minda team chased the
target in 16 overs for the loss of 6 wickets.

Mr. Pawan Yadav scored a total of 55 runs. Mr. Sunil

Singh also played fabulously and scored 30 runs in 12 ASEAN - ptMA,
balls hitting 3 sixes and 3 fours. Mr. Pawan Yadav won

On 21st January, 2016 Minda Vietnam was visited by a

team of auditors from Kawasaki, one of our prestigious
customers. The audit team was represented by Mr.
Tetsuya Inokoda (QA), Mr Takafumi Kumada (R&D
PT SIM Award Testing), Mr Yoshio Shiratake (PUR), who conducted
an audit for Wire Harness & Tank cap with a view for
making new investments. The visiting team lighted the
lamp and planted trees at MVACL premises. This event
reinforced ties with our customer.

Minda Vietnam Factory was inspected by an

environment agency on 5th January, 2016. The
purpose was to carry out an inspection of the working
environment and they measured working environment
indicators as air, light, water around the factory. The

outcome was very appreciable as it came out that
Minda Vietnam is the good working place and almost
all employees feel comfortable while working at place.
Building a safe and good working environment always gets
the high attention from the management committee.
A team from Yamaha Vietnam visited MVACL on
14th March, 2016 for the audit of production process.
The visiting team highly appreciated our systems and
professional approach towards work.

Tournament initiated on 15th& 12th February
respectively. At the West Zone, the Chief Guest
for the Inauguration Ceremony was Mr. N K Modi,
Managing Director, Minda Stoneridge Instruments
Limited. The occasion commenced with Lamp Lighting
Ceremony followed by ribbon cutting, playing of the
National Anthem and oath taking ceremony by all the
participating players. Amongst the important guests,
those present during the Inauguration were Mr. Arvind
Gupta (MCL-SSD) , Mr. Himanshu Jain (Minda VAST) &
game played after the inauguration.
At the South Zone, Mr. Arvind Birthare, Sr. Section
Manager Purchase Renault Nissan inaugurated the
tournament at MSL PP. This was followed by a
welcome address by the SBU Head Mr. Srinivasan
and initiation of the games.
In total, 6 games were played in the tournament
this season Cricket, Volleyball, Badminton, Table
by Spark Minda, Ashok Minda Group, Central Sports
Committee every year and is held in the memory of
our beloved Babuji who always believed that only a
healthy body and healthy mind can lead to a strong
and loyal workforce. May his wisdom be our guiding
light always!
The participants were seen exhibiting a spirit of
competition and enthusiasm. The Central Sports
Committee is very thankful to all the participants
for some very exciting and cherished moments this
season. We would also like to congratulate the winners
and the participants both for making the Tournament a
grand success.

On 8th January, 2016, MCL Noida organized a visit
for the students of St. Thomas University. A total

MCL- Noida celebrated Idea Week from 1st 6th
February, 2016 within their plant premises. The
objective behind this initiative was to create an
atmosphere of competitiveness and novelty and
capture ideas for future business & manufacturing
prospects. All staff members (Engineering, Operations,
Marketing, Finance, Admin & HR) & Associates
participated in the Idea Week celebration and shared
ideas as per the theme - "Feature Upgradation Or

The research paper was selected by the jury for
presentation on 18th March, 2016 at Amity University,
Noida. The paper was authored by Mr. Saurabh Singh
(P.E Department), Mr. Vikram Puri (New Technology
Department) & Mr. Girish Kumar (PE Department).

The research paper focused on creating a virtual

environment for the analysis of 04X Assembly Line
using DELMIA. Taguchi L9 orthogonal array was used

evaluated through simulation with ergonomics point of

On 8th April, 2016, MCL- DCD- Pune celebrated Gudi
Parva to mark the beginning of New Year as per Hindu
calendar. On this day, a Hawan Puja was held at the
DCD- Pune plant. Sweets were distributed to all the
employees. The Senior management addressed all the
employees wherein he congratulated everyone on the
previous years achievements and discussed the plans
and targets for the upcoming year.
