Candidates with SPM Qualification
For SPM candidates, the calculation of
points for entry into Diploma programmes Allocation of Academic
at IPTA is on a 120-point scale that is Points to SPM subjects
based on 8 subjects, that is, 5 out of 6 Grade Points allocated
core subjects (90 points) plus three of
the remaining best subjects (30 points). 1A 18

For STPM Level leavers, the calculation of total academic points Grades Points
by BPKP for entry into public universities is based on STPM
candidates performance in four of their best STPM subjects
including the Pengajian Am (General Paper). An average of the A

The calculation is based on Cumulative Grade Point Average B+ 3.33
(CGPA), which is similar to the points system of Matriculation B 3.00
Programmes. Extra-curricular activities will only be used as a

Calculation of Co-Curriculum Points

The average points of the best 2 out of 3 fields ascertained will be taken, that is, Physical Education/Games, Uniformed Teams and
Clubs/Associations. The total points will be 10 points.
