INTRODUCTION
OJTs can bring fresh ideas into the organization. Given the
opportunity to speak their minds freely and without fear, they may be able to
contribute significantly in brainstorming sessions or research and eventually
help improve the organizations productivity. While training the interns,
employers are in fact also teaching their employees to process of guiding the
trainees stretches their patience, develops teaching skills and makes them
more sensitive to the needs and mind set of the younger generation. The
course of supervision also teaches them how to share what they know and be
receptive to questions. Hence, the internship also becomes an avenue in
training for future managers of the company.

ACTIVITY/ACTIVITIES:
Orientation
Estimate the structural plans of Sorianos House.
Compute the surface area to be painted in Arugays House.
DESCRIPTION OF ACTIVITY/ACTIVITIES:
Before being deployed, an orientation was held. The company
president, Engr. Marlo Z. Liban showed the site projects which is the 4 on-
going housing construction (Sorianos House, Arugays House, Singuns
House, and Palatans House) located in 52 Pallua Road, Tuguearao City as
well as the Commission on Audit (COA) Rehabilitation Region 02 located in
Carig Sur, Tuguegarao City. He explained that I and my co-trainee should
rotate between the two workplace every week. Also, he discussed the rules
and regulations of the company. We are also informed that the working hours
is 8:00-5:00.
On this day, Engr. Marlo Z. Liban asked me and my co-trainee
Bernadette Baua to estimate the structural plan of Sorianos House and to
compute the surface area to be painted as well as to count the number of
power and switch layouts in Arugays House (on-going housing
construction) located in Erlandia Subdivision.

When we excavate for the footings, the teeth on the bucket stir up the
soil and mix air into it, decreasing its density. Also, soil from the
embankment may fall into the trench. Soil thats loose has much less bearing
capacity than the original soil. Compacting the trench bottom is very
important.

LESSON/S LEARNED:
When forming the footings, place enough large stone into the wet,
mucky zone to get up above the water table. Compact the stone down into
the mud, then pour your footing. The large aggregate allows the muck to fill
into the pore space.

CHAPTER VIII
PERSONAL EVALUATION, CONCLUSION and
RECOMMENDATION
This chapter presents the entire training period with the activities done
by the trainees. This shows the accomplishments and skills being enhanced
during the internship period that gave them the best training ground as a
beginner.
Competencies Gained
The training inside the company is learning experience each day. The
trainee learned to appreciate the lessons studied in school. She was able to
realize the importance of theories and formulas that was discussed inside the
classroom. And also to understand that everything that was thought inside
the school can be a tool that can be used in future career.
As the trainee was working as a trainee at the San Jacinto
Construction Services and General Merchandising, she learned to become a

They say that nothing beats experience as the perfect learning tool.
For some students, OJT gives them a taste of the real world-a glimpse of
what lies ahead after they graduate.
The students have undergone a good training. The task given to them
was an application of design Drafting, Computer Aided Drafting (CAD),
Building Design, Reinforcing Bars Details, Earthquake Design, Structural
Theory, Reinforced Concrete Design, Plumbing, Carpentry, Masonry and
Construction Painting of their course. The mixing of cements and aggregates
to form a concrete mixture and the painting of walls has a great connection
to the subjects. The drafting of plans using AUTOCAD deals with the study
of Drafting and Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) itself. Materials and the
construction of houses as well as COA Rehabilitation were exactly related to
what was discussed inside the classroom. The trainees were technically
given actual problems that have main concern with the civil engineering
subjects. The nature of the career course was the main focus of the training.
The training of the students will be a useful if the nature of their training
have the major concern for their chosen career. The trainees would able to
use the experiences they have gone through during the training whenever
they are already in the field of specialization.
