FOOD FEST for NUTRITION MONTH Celebration 2017

GENERAL GUIDELINES

1. The RIS Food Fest is open to all Grade 7 to 12 students of Royal International School,
Inc. The theme of the contest is Healthy diet, gawing habit FOR LIFE!
2. There shall be 3 clusters for the contest: Cluster 1- Grades 4, 5 and 6; Cluster 2-
Grades 7, 8, and 9 ; Cluster 3- Grades 10, 11 and 12
3. There will only be four (4) representatives in the contest for each class.
4. Participants will be given one and a half hours to complete their recipes and food
presentation, complete with the appropriate plating, garnishing and table setting. They
must prepare 3 identical and plated dishes and drinks for the three (3) judges.
5. There will be three (3) proctors per cluster who will facilitate and maintain the fair
standards of the said competition. Class advisers, subject teachers or fellow students
are not allowed to be near their representatives or assist their representatives during
the contest proper.
6. Failure to come in the contest venue and adhere to the contest rules and regulations
will mean disqualification of the participants. They will only be given five (5) minutes
grace period after the starting time and ending time.
7. The venue of the RIS Food Fest 2017 is _____________ on ____________ from

8. The decision of the panel of judges is FINAL AND IRREVOCABLE.
9. Three winners (first, second and third places) per cluster shall be selected for the
contest.
10. The following criteria should be strictly applied:
Nutritive value 30%

Palatability/Taste 20%

Adherence to the theme 20%

Over-all Presentation 30%

(including table setting and
garnishing of foods and drinks)
