PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: UnspecifiedPSRABEstablishmentFailure on lot of NodeBs

PROBLEM IMPACT:

High number of sites on the NW having UnspecifiedPSRABEstablishmentFailure


without

a clear reason

EXPECTED RESULTS:

RCA and Soln for this issue as the customer is escalating us due to this
issue,

Action taken to solve the issue:

Usually the problem solved with us by doing NodeB Rebulld

We set the 2 sites 2527,2695 as example and I collect, IMT,HFB before


rebuild

the site, you can consider the 2 site 2527,2659 as and example I collect IMT
for

both of them and also HFB, and KPIs reports before and after,

RNCs

Form the HFB logs provided alarm of BTS SYNCHRONISATION/0 SYN NOT LOCKED TO
THE

NETWORK is seen for many Node Bs and due to which


UnspecifiedPSRABEstablishmentFailure is also seen much.

Can you please check and make clock stable in lock condition for all these
Node

Bs as PS calls do get impact if clock is unstable.

Can you please send me latest HFB to check for it.

The Node B in which is clock is locked then please check for this indicator

Hi Mohamdi

Please focus on the 2 sites we mentioned as they the only having the issue
when I collect the logs, ignore right now any other sites, as I said in the
beginning of the AR we take these 2 sites as example because the issue was
presetting on them and solved after doing MIB rebuild for the 2 sites,

If there any issue with clock , the sites should instable after the rebuild
for

some time and came back to the abnormal behavior of the unspecifiedRAB,
what I

observe on the NW that I faced this issue with lot of sites before and issue

solved by rebuild and no any site reported again that it have the same
problem!,

so I dont think at all that it related to the PTP sync,

FYI. We already had AR-1-5522436 before for PTP sync issue and support
confirmed

that no impact on the KPIs due to it and also its due to the TX
instability,

1. Detailed Description

UnspecifiedPSRABEstablishmentFailure seen on lot of NodeBs

High number of sites on the NW having UnspecifiedPSRABEstablishmentFailure


without

a clear reason.

Site team usually gives Node B Rebuild to solve the problem.

They have observed this issue suddenly since last months which is Sporadic
in

nature.
All Logs are available on FTP Server 135.240.25.160 wftp/wftp under

/home/wcdma/Etisalat_UAE/AR 1-5874317

2. All the steps taken before AR escalated to ALU

As above.

3. All the steps taken before the issue observed by the engineer, who
reported the

AR

N/A

4. Activities After AR was escalated to L2 Technical Support.

Site team provided 2 sites as an example, site 2527 and site 2659 and IMT
and HFB

logs were checked.

Form the HFB logs provided alarm of BTS SYNCHRONISATION/0 SYN NOT LOCKED TO
THE

NETWORK is seen for many Node Bs and also


UnspecifiedPSRABEstablishmentFailure

is also seen much.

Also checked counters for this Node B but nothing abnormal found.

So asked site team to make clock stable if fluctuating to lock condition for
all

these Node Bs as PS calls do get impact if clock is unstable.

We also checked one more site 2561 suffering from unspecified failure and
same

issue of clock not stable is found this site too.

As this issue is seen in entire network.

Can you please help and let us know the reason why this
