Course Description: This course is designed to enhance a students daily conversational and simple writing
skills. Students learn useful expressions for speaking and writing tasks while experiencing plenty of learner-
learner and teacher-learner interaction through various activities. Students are expected to complete given
assignments and actively participate in class.

Course Materials: Prepared by the instructor and students. Materials may


also be available on the course website. There is a textbook required for
this course.

3. Attendance is mandatory.
a. Excused absences must be validated by submitting the appropriate documents to your
department office. A photocopy of each document must also be provided to your course
instructor.
b. Graded in-class activities and quizzes which are missed due to unexcused absences will
receive a score of 0. Students who miss graded in-class activities due to excused absences
will be unaffected.
4. We may not always see eye to eye. If there is a problem, please speak to me first. I will work
with you to try and resolve any issues you may have.
