Where oxygen is specified as service, the following requirements shall apply:

- Gaskets shall be packaged individually;


- The packaging method shall ensure that the oxygen-clean produced parts are not contaminated;
- Packaging shall be carried out immediately after final inspection;
- Double-bagging is required. Requirements for double-bagging and labeling are as follows:
o Inner Bag

The inner bag protects the cleanliness of the part. After a part has been precision cleaned, it shall
be bagged in an oxygen compatible film. The film used for bagging oxygen system parts shall be
as clean as the item being packaged. FEP (Teflon) or CTFE (Aclar) film are commonly used for the
inner bag.
o Outer Bag

The outer bag is used primarily as a vapor barrier and to protect the inner bag. It shall protect the
inner bag and the part from abrasion, particles, and moisture. The outer bag shall be impermeable
to moisture, and is commonly made of polyethylene.
- Each sealed plastic bag shall be labelled and marked clearly specifiying; Oxygen service Only
Open in Clean Room, BAM Certificate No., OEM product catalogue number/code, Product
type/grade, size and contents, production batch number and production date.
