Background and activities in
CADS Enhancement Centre
Formed in 2003 by a group of parents,
academicians and individuals with interests
in special needs children development. CADS
Enhancement Centre also provides the
necessary counseling and support group for
the family and care-givers of CADS children.
Our goals is to provide CADSs children with
equal opportunity to develop and maximize
their potentials, so that they will eventually
grow into independent, productive members
of the society and are respected by the
community. CADS Enhancement Centre offers the
following :
Vocational Centre
Occupational Therapy
Physical Therapy
Living Skills, and workshops.
CADS Enhancement Centres contribution to the
Sustainable Development Goals

4.1 By 2030, ensure that all girls and boys complete free, equitable and quality primary and
secondary education leading to relevant and effective learning outcomes
4.2 By 2030, ensure that all girls and boys have access to quality early childhood
development, care and pre-primary education so that they are ready for primary education
4.3 By 2030, ensure equal access for all women and men to affordable and quality technical,
vocational and tertiary education, including university
4.4 By 2030, substantially increase the number of youth and adults who have relevant skills,
including technical and vocational skills, for employment, decent jobs and entrepreneurship
Objectives and Daily Activities for
Exchange Participants
The activities done in CADS Enhancement
Centre would be mainly teaching:
language, arts and other skills.
From 9 AM until 12 PM, the interns will
be teaching Mathematics and also English
writing and reading to the children.
From 1PM until 5PM the interns will
teach pastry and culinary, skills,
computer, housekeeping, arts and craft
depending on the need of the children.
The interns must be also equipped with
marketing and event management skills
to plan charity events for the NGO during
the 6 weeks duration to promote the
centre.

Timeline of the Project

The project is available for the periods of


24 June 2017 until 5 August 2017 and 6
August 2017 until 17 September 2017

The duration of the project is 6 weeks for


each period

Volunteers should work from Monday


until Friday, from 9am to 5pm
Accommodation

The accommodation will be provided at


the same location as the centre, which is
JKR 2925, Persiaran Ledang off Jalan
Duta, 50480 Kuala Lumpur.

Two EPs who will work on the project will


live together.

Facilities:
Two meals are provided per day (lunch
& dinner)
The room has fan, air conditioner and
double bed
Prayer room is provided for Muslims
Washing machine is provided
Kitchen is available for interns if they
want to cook
