II. LEAD IN
AIMS: - to create interest in the topic; -to check and improve pronunciation; -
develop and practice productive and receptive skills (speaking, writing)
Activity 1: Write Things that make me happy on the board. Then write up 5 things
that make you happy such as: Being with my family, Travelling, Reading a book,
Drinking coffee in the morning, Teaching you. Ask Ss to write 1 to 3 sentences about
things that make them happy and read to the class

III. PRESENTATION
AIMS:-to develop and practice productive and receptive skills, - to put the
sentences into the correct order
Activity 1: Tell Ss they are going to watch a video inspired from a book called Be
happy. While watching the video, ask Ss to put the advice given in the correct order.
Then, ask Ss what tense was used in order to give these pieces of advice? Elicit
imperative. Check the positive and the negative forms of the imperative. (ANNEX 1)
TIMING: 8 MIN.

IV. PRACTICE
AIMS: - to check and improve vocabulary; - to give students more practice on
pronunciation, vocabulary and the structures previously taught,
Activity 1: Give Ss the Romanian equivalents of the sentences from the movie and
ask Ss to match the sentences to their corresponding translation. (ANNEX 2)
TIMING: 3 MIN.

AIMS: - to check and improve vocabulary; - to give students more practice on the
structures previously taught; - to give advice, - to develop creativity;
Activity 2: Show Ss the cover of Be Happy. A Little Book to Help you Live a
Happy Life. Tell them that they are going to write this book in groups. Ask them to
choose 5 sentences from the movie which they consider to be the most representatives
and write other 5 of their own, sentences of things we should do or shouldnt do in
order to live a happy life. Give them some examples such as: Believe in yourself,
Dont be selfish, Dont give up. After time is up, leave the book aside until Ss are
told otherwise. (ANNEX 3)

AIMS: - to check and improve vocabulary; - to use the structures in the right
context
Activity 3: Solve different worksheets in order to practise the structure. (ANNEX 4
AND 5)

V. FREE PRACTICE
AIMS: - to create a relaxed atmosphere, proper for studying; - develop and
practice productive and receptive skills (speaking), - to encourage students to talk
freely;
Activity 1: One student from each group presents the books previously made, also
giving explanations.
TIMING: 10 MIN.
TECHNIQUES AND INTERACTION: T-Ss, Ss-Ss, explanation, observation.
AIMS: - to create a relaxed atmosphere, proper for studying; - develop and
practice productive and receptive skills (speaking),
Activity 2: Ask people if it is always good to do what other people say. Elicit
answers. Then, sing the song Dont give me orders which you have already shown
Ss the class before. (ANNEX 6)

VI. EVALUATION
AIMS: - to check Ss understanding of the lesson; - to get a feed-back from the Ss.
Activity 1: The teacher announces the homework and gives the students the
explanations on how to solve it. Ask Ss to write a short composition titled What I do
to live a happy life.
TIME: 3 min.
