BUILT FORM: CITY SHAPE
The most practical way of determining the built Development Typology: Towers on Podium Development Typology: Towers on Podium
form in an understandable and equitable manner is
to describe the built form of the city as a series of
desired urban typologies, that is; types of built form
with distinctive characteristics. By assembling the
city as a set of urban typologies, and then making
local modifications to take into account sensitivities
such as heritage and the overshadowing of parks
and urban spaces, a three-dimensional model can
be constructed to illustrate the notional built form.
