Coordination of foot controls to move and stop the car
Requirement: Able to:
1. Co-ordinate accelerator and clutch pedals well.
2. Identify the biting point.
3. Move the vehicle smoothly with accelerator and clutch
control.
1.13 Prevent Stall engine a. Preventing a stall by pressing in the clutch
(manual vehicles) b. Re-start stalled engine.
Requirement: Able to:
1. Prevent the engine from stalling.
2. Re-start stall engine quickly and safely.
1.14 Securing the vehicle (from - Gear selection for parking, securing the vehicle
inside and outside) (handbrake), turning off engine, locking the vehicle from
the outside
Requirement: Able to turn off the engine, apply parking brakes and lock the
vehicle.
1.15 Leaving the vehicle. The importance of checking for safety before exiting.
Requirement: Able to leave the vehicle safely.

vulnerable road users (e.g. motorcyclists), creep and peep if

Requirement: Able to leave the major road on the right with correct
procedures.
3.07 Entering via slip lanes Pedestrian crossings (on bend, prior to merging lane)

2. Judge the speed and distance of approaching vehicles

If passed proceed on to book for RTA road
If fail, advise on weak areas for revision lessons.
Advise the instructor in charge of how his improve his
teaching.
Requirement: Able to
1. Drive on public road drive according to the checklist of
road test
2. Perform all maneuvers without assistance.
Learners must passed 5.02
5.03 Independent driving on Know the routes to a predetermined landmark/point of
city roads interest that use Dubai routes.
(Minimum 120 minutes) Know the use of Trailblazing Guide Signs (Green
Background).
Independently perform driving monouvers without
instructions.
Requirement: Able to:
1. Use Trailblazing Guide Signs and arrive safely at a given
landmark/point of interest
2. Drive independantly by making own decisions when
perform driving process e.g. lane positioning, lane change,
overtaking, signalling etc.
5.04 Independent driving on Know the routes to a predetermined landmark/point of
Freeway. interestthat uses Emirates routes.
