established a permanent home in the handball alley beside

(Extracts from Chairperson Address)
As you all are aware we are a volunteer led
organisation with our governing board made up
of volunteers from various clubs and two staff.
We are fully committed to maintaining the
highest standards of Corporate Governance.
2016 marked 40 years in operation for us as a
federation. Our planning in 2016 has included
developing a strategic plan to take us to 2019.
In 2016 I had the pleasure to present two young
volunteers with awards. Lastly I would just like to
say thank you to our outgoing chairperson
Turlough McDyer for his long term commitment
to Arch and to past council members who
resigned in 2016.
Gaisce & Arch Clubs have teamed up to offer
the Presidents Award to Arch members aged
between 15 -25 years in their local Arch Club.
This is a great opportunity for our young persons
and is open to all abilities in their Arch Club.
Most members are already meeting these targets
highlighted by Gaisce (attending their club,
developing social skills, taking part in fit for fun or
bowling etc. and going on adventure trips with
their club.) At the launch of this partnership in the
Phoenix Park Dublin were three Arch Club
members who will start their challenge in the
coming weeks, Niamh Cooke, Conor Caffrey and
Stephen Brown and we wish them the best of luck
and to all the Arch club members throughout the
country who we hope will take up the challenge
and participate in the Gaisce Awards.

Voyage Arch Club
During the summer the Voyage Arch Club in
Cork held an awards ceremony in the Planet
Centre, Blackpool, Cork hosted by their own
DJ Jerry! Great craic was on offer to all as
Jerry rocked the roof and his friends danced
the night away.
