SCORPIO BAG SLITTING MACHINES are ideal for food, pharmaceutical, chemical and related
applications. Scorpios fully automatic and semi-automatic bag slitters can cut open and discharge
up to 1200 to 1500 bags per hour of powdered materials from jute, polywoven, HDPE, hessian and
paper bags including bags of multiwall construction. The product is discharged within a contained
dust free environment with automatic empty bag compaction.

SAL-120 (1 to 2 bags / min.)

The SAL-120 is a semi-automatic compact machine

ideal for cramped working conditions. It offers low-
cost, dust-free opening of sacks where high
throughputs are not a major criteria . It can be
used as a fully automatic machine or operator-
controlled manual machine which is ideal when
handling particularly difficult powders.
Pneumatic controls for cutting, shaking and ejecting
operation makes it ideal for flameproof zones
MINISLIT 3000 (3 bags / min.) VARISLIT 6000 (12 bags / min.)

The Minislit 3000 is available with either the band knife
cutting system or the twin rotary disc cutting system. If
the customer is handling a large number of different
sack types then the band knife system is possibly the
best option and trials are carried out to prove this prior
to making a choice. Both systems are incorporated
into the same machine design which has been refined
over many years to give the customer the maximum
access and the least internal parts for product to settle
on. Internal and critical parts of the machine are
imported from Palamatic Handling Systems Ltd. of the
UK.
The Varislit 6000 is available with the twin rotary disc
cutting system. The body is larger than the Minislit
and handles long sacks effectively. The internal
body components are easy to clean and maintain
making it a good choice for food and pharmaceutical
applications as well as the chemical and agro-
chemical industries. Internal and critical parts of the
machine are imported from Palamatic Handling
Systems Ltd. of the UK.

MULTICUT (20 bags per minute)

The Multicut is a versatile automatic slitter and earns
its name owing to its ability to cut any type of bag be it
paper, polythene or jute. It is ideally suited to Indian
conditions where the raw materials in bags are not
properly sealed. In the Multicut, the bags are impaled
on to a high speed cutting knife. To impale the bags
against the knife the machine literally "drops " the bag
from a height of about 2 to 3 feet on to the blade. The
moment the bag is slit, the material spills out. After
this, the cut bag is tumbled in an inclined wire mesh
drum in which the bag is repeatedly lifted and dropped
as it moves forward to the exit. Material falls through
the mesh to a collection hopper while the cut bag
pieces find their way to a bag compactor.
