Introduction

The thirst for learning, upgrading technical skills and applying the concepts in real
life environment at a fast pace is what the industry demands from IT professionals
today. However busy work schedules, far-flung locations, and unavailability of
convenient time-slots pose as major barriers when it comes to applying the concepts
into realism. And hence the need to look out for alternative means of
implementation in the form of laddered approach.

The above truly pose as constraints especially for our students too! With their busy
schedules, it is indeed difficult for our students to keep up with the genuine and
constant need for integrated application which can be seen live especially so in the
field of IT education where technology can change on the spur of a moment. Well,
technology does come to our rescue at such times!!

Keeping the above in mind and in tune with our constant endeavour to use
Technology in our training model, we at Aptech have thought of revolutionizing the
way our students learn and implement the concepts using tools themselves by
providing a live and synchronous eProject learning environment!

So what is this eProject?

eProject is a step by step learning environment that closely simulates the classroom
and Lab based learning environment into actual implementation. It is a project
implementation at your fingertips!! An electronic, live juncture on the machine that
allows you to

o Practice step by step i.e. laddered approach.

o Build a larger more robust application.
o Usage of certain utilities in applications designed by user.
o Single program to unified code leading to a complete application.
o Learn implementation of concepts in a phased manner.
o Enhance skills and add value.
o Work on real life projects.
o Give a real life scenario and help to create applications more complicated and
useful.
o Mentoring through email support.

How do we start accessing the Sample eProject?

The students at the centre are expected to complete this eProject and send complete
documentation with source code within the time allotted to eprojects@aptech.ac.in

Looking forward to a positive response from your end!!

Objectives of the project

The Objective of this program is to give a sample project to work on real life
projects. These applications help you build a larger more robust application.

The objective is not to teach you the software s but to provide you with a real life
scenario and help you create basic applications using the tools.

You can revise the topics before you start with the project.

These programs should be done in the Lab sessions with assistance of the faculty if
required.

It is very essential that a student has a clear understanding of the subject.

Kindly get back @ eprojects@aptech.ac.in in case of any doubts regarding the

application or its objectives.
Problem Statement:

Task:
Create an informative and business site for an Air lines named Air-Arena . You also
need to create a logo for the company and put the logo on the site.

About the Airline:

Air Arena India s one of the largest domestic airline, started its first operation in
February 2005 with only 1 aircraft and 1 flights a day and it is today one of the
fastest growing airline flying over 200 flights a day, across the country while
connecting 50 destinations. Air Arena has about to set the largest network in India.
Air Arena provides affordable air travel at very low costs than any other Airline in
India and even abroad. Air Arena flies to a number of destinations, including
unconnected sectors like Hubli, Belgaum, Vijayawada, Nashik, Jabalpur, Gwalior,
Kanpur, Dehradun, Tuticorin, Hampi, Kandla, Kullu, Rajahmundry and Pathankot.
A ticket on any of the Air Arena flights can be purchased from anywhere around the
globe by logging on to www.airarena.com. Besides this, the airline operates a
24x7 multi-lingual call centre for booking of your tickets. These two innovative
methods make it the first airline in the country to make available booking of tickets
round the clock. The traditional methods of buying tickets through the travel
agents or at the airline booking office in the airports are also available.

5. Flash.
6. Dreamweaver.
Execution Plan:

Developing a full-fledged multimedia title involves a rich mix of skills ranging from
project management and interface design to sound preparation and programming.

Although multimedia tools make it possible for one person to perform every task,
few people have the combination of technical, artistic, and management skills
necessary to fill every role well. As a rule, multimedia titles are best developed
collaboratively by teams with a range of expertise.

Roles:

Writer/Content expert
The writer researches the content of the title, helps storyboard it, and then writes all
of the text. Sometimes a content expert works with the writer and visualizer to help
communicate the right information.

Editor/Proofreader
The editor reviews all of the written material onscreen for interest, clarity,
conciseness, and grammatical correctness. The editor also checks that the text works
well with the other media. A proofreader polishes the final work.

Interface designer / Visualizer

The interface designer establishes a consistent design for the title by specifying what
the navigation system looks like, where information and media appear onscreen, and
what fonts colors, and graphical design elements to use.

Illustrator/Animator
The illustrator creates the graphical parts of the title, such as the screen elements
and buttons. The illustrator also prepares the drawings. Scanned photographs, and
animations that are specified in the storyboard.

Audio editor and video / technician

The technician edit the voice / video, effects for the audio / visual clip. This work
typically involves converting traditionally recorded sounds and shoot the original
videotape to a digital format, that a computer can handle.

Web Designer / author / scriptwriter / Programmer

The final work will be done by the web designer. He will assemble all the media
together to get the final out put. He should use any web designing tools/software to
do the web designing.

Team Leader
The Leader verifies that every aspect of the title works correctly. An expert leader
looks at every word, screen, and media effect to ensure the quality. The leader also
runs the title on different hardware configuration for the testing purpose.

Duration:
As mentioned in the schedule.

Standard plans:

1. While development it must be noted that the application must be safe, stable and
should be capable in handling multiple users.

2. Your application must possess the following important characteristics:

a. Transaction atomicity
b. Consistency
c. Integrity
d. Durability
e. Security
f. Reliability
g. Scalability
h. Availability
i. Testing of the application must be done after every phase.

i. First phase is the Unit testing.

ii. In the second phase we need to do an integration testing of all the

modules together.

iii. At the end of the project after final delivery acceptance testing has
to be done with the client to figure out whether all the clients
expectations are fulfilled or not.

j. After Testing phase all documentation must be in place and the version is
released.

Note: Don t forget to take your data backup every day. This will save your project
work from the following:
a. Virus problem
b. System failure
c. File corrupt
Data Backup is an important event to be done on regular basis in a project
management
