ll UNIVERSITY OF sarah J Omnrod MA iy CAMBRIDGE our Ret 1g Contacts PF Moana Z0v8 July/August 2017 Dear Colleague, The University’s International Summer Programmes (8 July - 18 August 2018) offer a heady mixture of tradition and innovation, as hundreds of students absorb the atmosphere of this remarkable place, learning from some of the finest academics, and from each other. The Programmes have a reputation for excellent teaching, fascinating courses and intriguing lectures. ‘Over 180 courses make up the open-access programmes: Ancient and Classical Worlds, Creative Writing, Art and Visual Culture, History, Inter linary, Literature, Medieval Studies, Science and Shakespeare. We also offer an English Law and Legal Methods Programme designed primarily for lawyers and law students. At the core of each programme are small, special study classes. These are complemented by a series of plenary lectures and evening talks, delivered by subject specialists from within the University and beyond. The Programmes are taught at undergraduate level and attract adults of all ages, from over 55 different countries. Around 50% of participants are current undergraduate or graduate students, and around 50% of all participants are aged 30+. The Art and Visual Culture Programme is new for 2018. We will also be offering a Pre-University Programme for 16-18 year olds combining lectures, study-skills sessions and supervisions. The Pre-University Programme will be held at Fitzwilliam College.
