Joshua Waitzkin (New York, December 4, 1976) is a chess player won the U.S.

Junior
Chess Championship in the United States in 1993 and 1994.

His career began playing at age 6 years, learning by looking at outdoor games while
wandering through Washington Square Park in the state of New York. That's when
playing fast games was discovered by Bruce Pandolfini, a chess author and teacher,
who then sponsored him for a few years.

During his student years at the Dalton School in New York, led the school to win 6
championships national team between the third and ninth grades in addition to its 8
individual titles.

The first teacher was he defeated Edward Frumkin, in a game that was marked by a
sacrifice remarked the lady of Waitzkin and exchange tower to reach checkmate in 6
games. Waitzkin was only 10 at the time.

Most recently, Josh've founded an Educational nonprofit. The JW Foundation is

dedicated to helping teachers, parents, and nurture the unique Educational Institutions
