USB GPS Installation Instructions

M-215U USB GPS Mouse series driver installation


instructions for Windows 2000, XP and Vista:

1. Dont plug your GPS USB product to your computer until the driver installation is complete.

2. Place the enclosed CD into your CD-ROM drive.

3. Locate and double-click the DriverInstaller.exe file in the folder


/M-215/USB data cable driver/Win2K_XP_Vista. Click Install and follow the onscreen
prompts.

4. Once finished, Plug your USB GPS into your computer your system should automatically
detect the device and find its corresponding driver.

5. When this is complete, right click My Computer (Computer in Windows Vista) then click
Properties and find Device Manager under the Hardware tab.

6. Find Ports (COM & LPT), browse it and find CP210x USB
to UART Bridge Controller (COM X) or Holux GPS USB Note: The included
Device (COM X) where X is a number used to refer to software Mini GPS
this device. Note this number down, as you will need it Viewer is not required
when configuring your navigation software. and should not be run
simultaneously with other
software that utilises the
GPS (as it could prevent
other software from using
the GPS).

Setting up your USB GPS device


with Memory-Map
1. Click GPS > GPS Setup
2. For Manufacturer choose Generic (NMEA)
3. Select the Com port number based on step # 6 above.
4. Baud rate: 4800, Data bits: 8, Parity: None, Stop bits: 1
5. Click OK and youre done!
