0.1 General information to use the Austrian virtual Fokker Checklist.


This checklist is a combination of the real world checklist and simulation requirements. Not
required items for flight simulation are cancelled. The main purpose of the checklist
description is to establish and explain the action or action to be taken in connection with
each item on the Fokker checklist. Its not a to do list! Depending on different start up user
settings, refer to the DA Fokker AOM for correct system operation. Therefore the power-
up procedure is not part of the checklist. The Austrian virtual Fokker Checklist should be
used for flight simulation only!

0.2 Perform following scan flow to check the cockpit systems:

1.1 PREFLIGHT CHECK LIST


The Preflight Check List has to be executed to ensure that all relevant add-on software is active and
ready to perform the simulated flight in the virtual surround successful.

Check fuel levers in the OFF position and ED values down its important for proper function of FSFK
/ XCARS. If you found engine running, connect external power or activate APU before engine shut-
down. Otherwise you will be loose the electrical power (realignment of IRS required!).

Check data for limits and insert OFP and A/C data into FMS.

1.2 COCKPIT PREPARATION


The entire Cockpit Preparation Check List has to be executing for initial acceptance of the aircraft
after every online flight, night stop, and maintenance work.

- APU Power: Use APU during push-back for engine starts and ground air starter not available.
NOTE: Do not start APU during IRS alignment and during refueling!

1.3 CREW AT STATION


The Crew at Station Check List shall be carried out if both pilots on flight deck and the load sheet
received.

1.4 BEFORE ENGINE START


The Before Engine Start Check List shall be carried out if A/C has to be ready for start-up and / or
push-back. After completion of the before start checklist order start-up and push-back clearance.
Before start with the engine start sequence, check all engine clear sign from ground staff received,
all doors closed, cabin reported all PAX seated, and ground equipment removed (excluding necessary
ground equipment for the start-up procedure).
The engines shall normally be started in the sequence #1 and then #2.
Use of SEI during engine start is recommended!
Monitor engine values on SEI and on the MFD. Also start timing on the clock.
For engine start limits refer to the AOM.

1.5 AFTER ENGINE START


Start with the After Engine Start Check List as soon as possible after stabilized engines.

If additional cooling or heating required, keep APU running until reaching runway holding point.
Normally shut down APU after both engine started and stabilized.

Press START push button to OFF light out. Need only for single engine taxiing and delayed second
engine start (not possible in Flight Simulator).

1.6 TAXI CHECK


Start with the Taxi Check List if taxi clearance by ATC received, and all clear signal given by the
ground staff. Switch on the taxi light and release parking brake. Set engine thrust to the minimum
required for taxi, to prevent noise and jet blast damage.
During night or low visibility it is recommended to switch on the wing inspection light.

Check elevator and aileron for full and free movement.
Check rudder for full and free movement.

Set and check rotary switch to RTO.

IMPORTANT! Following conditions are required to avoid nuisance faults:


- Thrust lever in idle position
- Rudder in neutral position
- No differential brake applying

Verify correct transponder code and flight ID

1.7 BEFORE TAKE-OFF


The Before Take-Off Check List shall be carried out short before the runway holding point reached
and cabin finished with the Security Announcements and cockpit ready for departure.

Call from cockpit to cabin cabin crew prepare for departure

If line-up or take-off clearance received switch the strobe light to ON.


Check runway and approach sector clear of traffic if possible.
Identify the runway designator.
If take-off clearance received, switch landing lights to ON.
Set 1,3 EPR and then pull TOGA switch.
Simultaneously at beginning of the take-off roll start the flight time counting on the clock.
Check TO | TO on FMA and check Thrust.
80kts call out.
Thrust and EPR checked.
V1, Vr, V2, positive gear-up.
Above 35ft AGL engagement of AP possible.

1.8 CLIMB
The Climb Check List shall be carried out after passing transition altitude.
From take-off up to FL100 perform sterile flight deck philosophy.

- No paperwork should be performed.


- During night time dim panel lights to observe surrounding traffic.
- No unessential conversation should be done.

When climbing through the transition altitude rotate ALTM knob to STD, set the standby altimeter to
1013,25 hPa / 29,92 inHg, and crosscheck all 3 altimeters

Check speed and set flaps to zero.

1.9 DESCENT
Perform Descent Check List prior TOD reached or ATC request descent. The ATIS information
should be received and the approach briefing should be done at this time.

Check or set SEAT BELT to ON approx. 20 minutes prior landing.

1.10 APPROACH
Perform the Approach Check List when cleared by ATC below transition level or passing 10.00ft.
Not exceed 250kts below FL100. Speed > 250kt below FL100 is only allowed when instructed by ATC.
Perform sterile flight deck philosophy from 10.000ft until landing.
- No paperwork should be perform
- During night time dim panel lights to observe surrounding traffic
- No unessential conversation should be done

Perform Final checklist between 2500ft and 1000ft AGL

Perform After Landing Checklist during taxiing to the ramp, but not before active runway left.
Use APU and external lights as required. Single Engine taxiing is not possible in FS!

Set flaps to zero position. In icing condition during approach expect ice or slash on the flap leading
edge. Ice on leading edge can cause damage during retraction. Left the flaps at position 25 for

Perform Final Parking after last flight of the day, and no hand over to maintenance staff scheduled.
