The 85 candidates of the 8th capping and pinning ceremonies of BSU College of Nursing
didnt mind the heat of the sun as they patiently waited for their turn to walk through the aisle of
the Barasoain Church along with their parents at exactly 1:00 in the afternoon of November 27,
2012.

As a tradition, the ceremony started with a Eucharistic celebration led by Msgr. Angelito

countries being himself as the witness.

member of the Board of Nursing Philippine Regulation Commission. Then, the presentation of
the candidates followed by the Dean of the College of Nursing, Mrs. Loida Crespo. Afterwhich
was the entrance of this years Florence Nightingale Ms. Maragarita Gavilan of BSN 4E.

The main event of the ceremony was the imposition of caps and pins. The newly capped
and pinned student nurses took their oath for the Nightingales Pledge led by Mrs. Myline Eser
while holding the lighted lamp. Succeeding the pledge was the singing of the batch song Keep
Holding On and the tribute song Salamat which made everyone emotional.

The event ended with an acknowledgement message given by Ms. Carren Rosemarie
