1.Introduction
DCOperatingPointAnalysiscalculatesthebehaviorofacircuitwhenaDCvoltageorcurrentisappliedtoit.Theresultof
thisanalysisisgenerallyreferredasthebiaspointorquiescentpoint,Qpoint.Inmostcases,theresultsoftheDCOperating
PointAnalysisareintermediatevaluesforfurtheranalysis.Forexample,inACAnalysis
(http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/tut/p/id/12690),theDCoperatingpointisfirstcalculatedtoobtainlinear,smallsignalmodels
forallnonlinearcomponents(suchadiodesandtransistors).
Assumptions:ACsourcesarezeroedout,capacitorsareopen,inductorsareshorted,digitalcomponentsaretreatedasa
largeresistortoground.
