    Oceans in Animal Crossing:

    The ocean is a body of water towards the south end of the town that appears in all
    Animal Crossing series games.

    Deep-sea creatures can be found here.

    Deep-sea creatures include fishing, shell collecting are a type of catchable


    creature introduced in New Leaf, just like bugs and fish.
    The player catches them by swimming in the ocean and diving down when directly
    above a shadow, or swimming underwater.

    Shadow sizes range from as small as the mantis shrimp to as large as the spider
    crab and giant isopod seas near the Island.

    There are an abundance of eels too.


    The spotted garden eel is a deep-sea creature found at the bottom of the tropical
    seas near the Island. It is indicated by a circular shadow. Diving is the only way
    of capturing it.
