Evidence: Job interview

Imagine you are applying for a new job. Below you will find some common job
interview questions. For this evidence, you have to record yourself while you
answer them. Dress up. Look professional. Pay attention to your body language.
Show you really want to get that job. Remember to use the grammar structures
and vocabulary you have practiced within this learning activity.

1. If you could start your career over again, what would you do differently?

If I could start my career again, I would focus a lot on sharing with the bosses in
my area. I discovered the importance of being part of them since they are the
people that make decisions, and their experience and knowledge would help
me to grow more as a person and employee.

2. During your performance reviews, what criticism do you hear the most?

During my performance evaluation I often hear the criticism that they are shy in
the interview and that this can be an obstacle to working in a group.
3. Tell me about your last position?

I was an administrative assistant but distant because I was shy this caused
distance between my colleagues, the job I did in the company was to file,
affiliate employees to health, answer the phone and others..

4. What is your work philosophy?

My philosophy of work is to work to live, without pretensions to be more than


anyone, but above all giving the best of my abilities and knowledge so that
everything is well.

5. How have you changed professionally speaking in the last two years?

The changes I have had is that I am more sociable and I share with my
colleagues and work in groups and I give my opinions and also collaborate with
my knowledge when it is necessary, I have changed the way I think and my
attitude towards others.

6. Tell me about the best manager you have ever had.

The best manager I had was Marcela is a person with authority but above all
with tolerance and respect towards their workers, is a simple and humane
person who is not arrogant because of the position he occupies in the company.

7. What were the most memorable accomplishments in your last position?

My most memorable accomplishment was to collaborate with an institutional


archive because they saw my skills and knowledge since my colleagues and my
bosses did not think I could do it in a short time, but the most gratifying thing is
that they continue to use the archiving method

8. Why do you want to leave your current job?

Because I want to start a new stage in my life, learn other things, because I
don't want to be more stagnant, but to become the manager of human
resources.

9. In your previous position, how much time did you spend learning how to do
things better?
At the same time that I was doing an activity, I was trying to improve, since one is
constantly acquiring knowledge and one has mistakes and has to correct them
to make things better.

10. If youre very happy with your current job, why do you want to leave?

Because it is very important for me to continue growing in the knowledge and to


face new challenges since I want to get to occupy the position of manager of
human resources.
